Resort Description

Set amidst beautiful scenary on the banks of Ustedalen Fjord Geilo lies at the heart of Norways Winterland region with ski areas on both sides of the valley. This resort has an excellent reputation as a family resort, this freindly and chalming village has been a ski centre since 1890 and Geilo very much remains completly unspoilt with its traditional norwegian character very much in tact.

Plenty of Apres ski activites and a good choice of livley bars. In resort activites include skidooing, Kite-skiing, Dog-Sledding, night skiing, sleigh rides, snowrafting, tobbaganing, and snow shoe walking.

For eating out there is a wide choice of cafes and Restaurants, from traditional to International. Geilo is a good choice for somewhere different, for a mixed level group.
