Resort Description
Known as the Pearl of the Dolomites it is surrounded by magnificent peaks. Cortina was the home to the very first Winter Olympics in Italy and still hosts many International ski events, due to its very reliable snow record. The local ski area provides plenty of scope for all abilites and is crowd free during the week, though at weekends many Italians visit so the pists do get a little more crowded.
For Apres the key word is chic, choose from ice skating or dog sledging or join the well to do Italians on there afternoon walk along Coraso Italia with its upmarket shops. In the evening there are serveral livley bars and cafes to suit all tasts and pockets.
