Nestling in the Kitzbuheler Alps, Ellmau enjoys stunning views of Austria’s majestic Wilder Kaiser mountains.Ellmau is part of the Ski Welt, Austria’s largest linked ski area, with 250K of pistes for you to explore! Ellmau is excellent for learners, with caring instructors and a many gentle slopes. Intermediates will love the seemingly endless selection of scenic routes. Some challenging descents and the off-pistes possibilities will test the more competent. Speeding down the 150 miles of runs is certain to thrill snowboarders!
The après-ski is lively, varied and relaxed and live music plays in a number of bars. Ellmau boasts a variety of good value restaurants.
The streets of Ellmau’s traditional, attractive village are lined with shops, so be sure to treat yourself! A fascinating excursion to Salzburg or Innsbruck is not to be missed. Why not take in the panoramic view with a ride on Ellmau’s mountain railway, the longest in Austria, which ascends the Hartkaiser Mountain in just four minutes! Other non-ski activities include a swimming pool complete with a giant water slide, tennis, squash, skittles, ice-skating and sleigh rides.
